4 Reasons to Buy My New Book

Dancing with Elephants

This week I am launching my new book, Dancing with Elephants: Mindfulness Training For Those Living With Dementia, Chronic Illness or an Aging Brain. To celebrate, everyone who buys before March 12 and sends me their receipt will receive a Great Mindfulness Package for free (worth $176). I’ll share the details in a moment.

I won’t spend time in this post telling you about the book. I have created an entire page for that purpose, complete with endorsements from people who were kind enough to read it before publication, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Sharon Strazberg, Peter Rabins, Jen Mann and Jean Vanier.

In addition, more than thirty people have posted reviews on the major online retailer sites. All of them (so far) are four-five-star.  Here are some excerpts from reviews on amazon

You won’t forget this any time soon!

It’s a completely outside-of-the-box look at life

Profound prose with a poet’s heart.

If you’re into mindfulness – buy a copy! If you want to be creatively inspired to live your live with the courage to love, laugh, and dance – buy a copy!

the author’s personal anecdotes are humble, hilarious at times and full of hope.

This book is a gem.

Down to earth (sometimes literally) and heart-stoppingly funny,

On the book sales page I go into detail about why I wrote the book and how it can help anyone—people aging, people facing disease, people wanting to live fully in the present moment.

The main thing I want to communicate here is that if you buy the book THIS WEEK (before March 12), you can get the Great Mindfulness Package for FREE:

The Great Mindfulness Package includes:

1. A More Healing Way: Video Conversations on Disease (5-part video series). Take a look at interviews with mindfulness teachers, doctors and bestselling authors as they share their best tips for facing disease in a more healing way. Hosted by Jarem Sawatsky, a professor emeritus with a terminal disease, these honest and engrossing conversations offer viewers a more healing and hopeful way of facing disease. The 5-part series (over 3.5hrs) includes conversation with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Patch Adams, Lucy Kalanithi, John Paul Lederach, and Toni Bernhard.  (Value $100)

2. Audiobook of Dancing with Elephants read by Jarem  Sawatsky (value $28)

3. 30-day Dancing with Elephant Journal and Workbook (Full colour, $10 value)

4. All the digital editions of the book (kindle, nook, ipad, pdf) (value $38)

This offer is only valid through the end of the day, March 12, CST. At that point, this offer goes away. To get these four FREE bonuses, you must take these two steps:

I am listening to this book on audible. I’ve had to stop and start because although the content is really good, I’m finding that I’m crying a lot. I’m so grateful for this. Hard questions are coming up – and some hard memories. But stopping to face them and walk through them is freeing. Thank you , Jarem – for your compassion, thoughtfulness and your courage to share your life with us. This book has changed me for the better.

This may not be the correct way to do this, but I’m a computer novice so I’ll try. My husband (Ben Dyck) just finished reading your book: Dancing With Elephants to me. (He reads to me every evening before we to to sleep). We found your book wondrously inpiring and very well written. You don’t know me, but your mother and father in law were very good friends. My first husband pastored the Altona Bergthaler church for 11 years (from; ’79 until ’90 so I got to know your precious wife and her siblings quite well. Rhona and Mona both sang in the jr. choir that I conducted during many of those years. You have often been in my thoughts and prayers ever since Kathleen shared that you tested positive for Huntington’s. Your book is a lasting legacy for anyone who struggling with serious health issues and./or is a serious path to Spiritual wholeness, as well as a testament to your own courage and creativity in dealing with Huntington’s. I would love to be on your mailing list.

I have begun reading your book and love it. Thank you so much. My daughter gave it to me for Mothers Day.

  5. Ann Werner says:

I am so eager to read this volume. Not sure why. Just finished binging on two other reads in only three days. Guess I haven’t reached satiety yet. I live with type 2 diabetes. Certainly not terminal if I continue to manage it well. At any rate, I look forward to living more mindfully.
